Refund Policy

Effective May 2026

We want you using Lessona because it saves you time, not because you're stuck in a subscription you can't escape. Here's exactly when and how we issue refunds.

The 7-day free trial

Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial. No credit card required. The trial covers 3 lesson plans, 2 presentations, and 5 printable resources so you can fully test Lessona before paying.

If you don't subscribe by the end of the trial, your account stays active but generation is paused. Past content remains visible. You can subscribe at any time to unlock unlimited generation again.

14-day satisfaction promise (monthly subscriptions)

If you subscribe and decide Lessona isn't right for you within the first 14 days, email support@lessona.ai and we'll refund the full subscription amount. No questions, no follow-up surveys, no cancellation calls.

The promise applies to your very first paid month only. We cannot extend it to month two, month three, or returning subscribers. You can still cancel at any time and we'll stop billing immediately.

Cancellation any time, no fees

You can cancel your subscription at any moment from Billing → Manage subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period (you've already paid for it). After that, your account drops to read-only and you stop being charged.

We do not pro-rate refunds for cancellations after the 14-day satisfaction window. The fairer arrangement is: you keep what you've paid for, you stop paying for the future, no surprises.

Annual subscriptions (when available)

If we offer an annual subscription in the future, prorated refunds will apply for cancellations within the first 30 days. We'll update this policy with exact terms before annual subscriptions go live.

Schools deals

School subscriptions are invoiced annually under a separate contract. Refund terms for school agreements are set in the contract you sign with us, not this policy. Contact support@lessona.ai for the standard schools agreement.

Gifts (purchased for a teacher)

A gift code that hasn't been redeemed within its 6-month window is eligible for a full refund to the original buyer. Once a gift has been redeemed by the recipient, the gifted period cannot be refunded because Lessona has already incurred the cost of delivering the service.

If a recipient never received their gift code (delivery glitch), email support@lessona.ai. We will resend at no cost.

How to request a refund

Email support@lessona.ai with the email address on your Lessona account and a one-line reason (helps us improve). Refunds process within 3 working days back to your original payment method.

What this policy doesn't cover

Disputes raised more than 90 days after the original charge are handled by your card issuer under their chargeback rules, not under this policy.
