# Lessona > Lessona drafts curriculum-aligned lesson plans, presentations, and printable resources for teachers in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada. Built for primary and secondary teachers. 7-day free trial, no credit card required. Subscription is in the visitor's local currency. Lessona is operated by Lessona Limited, registered in New Zealand. Co-founded by Stephen Milner (product) and Emma Milner (Year 1-2 teacher, Otonga Primary School, Rotorua). ## What Lessona generates Every Lessona session starts with one prompt that drafts the lesson plan (structured around the relevant region's curriculum framework, with three ability tiers of differentiation built in). The slide deck, the printable resource (worksheet or graphic organiser), and the exit ticket are then one-click follow-on generations off that plan, each anchored to the plan's learning intention so the bundle stays coherent. The teacher edits, exports to Google Drive or PDF, and reuses across years. ## Curriculum coverage - New Zealand: Te Mātaiaho. From Term 1 2026, English Years 0 to 10 and Mathematics and Statistics Years 0 to 10 are mandatory under the refreshed Knowledge and Practice structure (the previous Understand, Know, Do labels have been removed in those areas). Other learning areas (Science, Social Sciences, Health and PE, the Arts, Technology, Learning Languages) stay on the legacy New Zealand Curriculum during 2026 and become mandatory under Te Mātaiaho from start of 2027. Years 11 to 13 use NCEA achievement standards as the canonical framework; Te Mātaiaho phases in for Year 11 in 2028, Year 12 in 2029, Year 13 in 2030. - Australia: Australian Curriculum v9. Foundation to Year 12. - United Kingdom: National Curriculum (Key Stages 1 to 5). Years 1 to 13. - United States: Common Core plus state standards. Kindergarten to Grade 12. - Canada: Provincial curricula. Kindergarten to Grade 12. ## Pricing - Free trial: 7 days, no credit card. Includes 3 lesson plans, 2 presentations, 5 printable resources. - Monthly subscription: priced in local currency. - New Zealand NZ$19.99 - Australia AU$19.99 - United Kingdom £9.50 - United States US$13.99 - Canada CA$17.99 - Schools plan: per-teacher pricing, billed annually, invoiced direct to the school. ## How it differs from competitors - Unlimited generations (no credit caps), unlike Kuraplan which uses a credit model - Curriculum-first, not AI-first: Te Mātaiaho 2025 is treated as the default in NZ rather than a retrofit - Five-region curriculum coverage in one product, unlike US-centric tools - Bundle generation: lesson plan from one prompt, then slide deck, worksheet, and exit ticket as one-click follow-ons off that plan, all anchored to the same learning intention. Unlike single-output tools that require separate prompting for each artefact. ## Public pages - [Home](https://lessona.ai/home): Brand overview, hero, pillar benefits, lesson preview card. - [Lesson planning for New Zealand teachers](https://lessona.ai/teachers/nz): NZ landing page.
